why the

The Atlantic is an oyster/craft cocktail bar nestled in the heart of the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Our menu celebrates seafoods from the east coast, west coast and beyond, and we strive to support local and regional fishermen, crabbers, oystermen, farmers and producers. Don’t eat seafood? No problem. We’ve got plenty of options for everyone on the menu.

What’s a good oyster without a better wine? Our wine list has been hand selected for only the best suited pairings with our menu. With over 15 wines by the glass, we are sure you will find the perfect wine for you. We can’t wait to meet you!

our team
David Edelen

David, being from Maryland, knows crabs. Everyone from Maryland does. His spare time is spent whittling wood and sipping bourbon. With his early knowledge of crabbing and food he took on the task on starting The Atlantic. Stop in and see if you can catch him.

Dave Brue

Chef made his way to Virginia via upstate New York. Unlike regular New Yorkers, he loves to sit in traffic. His best friend is his fishing rod and they go everywhere together. He eats everything he catches and always shares. Chef Dave is always thinking of delicious ways to feed the masses. When you see him, ask him about that one time in Chicago… it’s a crazy story!

Vincent Amato

Vincent hails from the vacation capital of the United States (back in the 70’s), The Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. With an early career of selling ketchup to people wearing white gloves, he knew the restaurant business was for him. Unless he’s traveling the world, you can always find Vincent in the restaurant (he’s the bald one with the tattoos). Make sure to stop him and ask him about his love of noodles. Remember to yell… He’s deaf.

Jerry Flowers

Jerry comes to us being from the farms of Virginia. From a young age Jerry knew his calling, golf. After spending countless hours working on his golf game he decided to get into the restaurant business. A sucker for any competition, Jerry will be found sitting at the raw bar. Challenge him to an oyster eating contest. He’s undefeated.
